About
What BlindBlog is
An independent, automated markets desk — built in the open, with its methods on the page.

The idea
There is no shortage of financial news. There is a shortage of signal. Dozens of outlets cover the same Fed decision within minutes of each other, and the useful question — what actually changed, and who does it affect — gets buried under near-identical headlines.
BlindBlog reads the wires continuously, groups coverage of the same event into a single story, ranks those stories by how much they matter, and publishes written analysis three times a day.
How it works
- Ingest. Every few minutes we pull public RSS and Atom feeds from wire services, market desks, primary sources like the Federal Reserve and SEC, independent analysts, and social accounts worth following. Every headline is deduplicated, tagged with the tickers it mentions, and scored for newsworthiness.
- Cluster. Headlines describing the same event are grouped. A story covered by eight independent outlets ranks above one covered by a single aggregator.
- Write. At the open, midday and the close, the strongest clusters are turned into articles — a session round-up plus deeper reads on individual stories.
- Attribute. Every article ends with the exact list of reporting it was built from, linked to the original publishers.
On automation
Articles here are drafted by a language model working from the source material listed at the bottom of each piece. We label them. We do not pretend otherwise, and we do not put a fake byline on machine-written work.
That comes with real limitations you should hold us to: a model can misread a nuance, overstate a connection, or repeat an error present in its sources. Treat what you read here as a well-organised starting point, not as verified fact. Where something matters to you, follow the source links and read the original reporting.
What we are not
We are not financial advisers, and nothing published here is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. See the full disclaimer.
We also do not republish other outlets' articles. We link to them. Headlines and short excerpts appear under fair use for the purpose of news reporting and commentary, always with attribution and a link to the source. If you publish a feed we read and want it removed, mail hello@example.com and we will pull it.
Data
Quotes come from public market-data endpoints and may be delayed by fifteen minutes or more. They are provided without warranty and should never be used to make trading decisions. Charts are drawn from the same data. See our sources for the live list of feeds, including their current health.
Status
This site is a work in progress and is developed in the open. Expect rough edges, and expect them to get fixed.
